MEET Muriel koucoi
Muriel Christel Koucoi is the founder of SIMKHA Biocosmetics. Trained as a medical biologist and epidemiologist, she’s also a mother who’s passionate about natural skincare. She firmly believes that true beauty starts with overall well-being. Through her skincare brand, she promotes skin health and well-being using natural methods. “SIMKHA,” meaning joy and happiness in Hebrew, reflects her vision.Â
OUR STORY
SIMKHA Biocosmetiques is a Canadian brand that specializes in the manufacturing of organic, vegan and cruelty-free skincare products. It was following her son Lorenzo’s skin problems that Muriel Koucoi decided to turn to natural and vegan skincare products. As she struggled to find satisfaction in the existing offering, she took inspiration from her mom homemade recipes. This transmission of ancestral know-how between mother and daughter, added to her studies in chemistry, allowed her to successfully create her first line of body butters. As she started receiving orders from her relatives, friends and acquaintances, she was thrived to start her own skincare brand. This is how she founded SIMKHA in 2018.

Our products feature precious ingredients known for their nourishing, softening, hydrating, and rejuvenating properties. Shea butter, cocoa, mango, floral waters, and essential oils are meticulously blended with nutrient-rich vegetable oils. These ingredients are sourced from agricultural cooperatives in Africa and Latin America that share our commitment to fair trade and sustainable development.
